Puddle Splashers

Just talked with my grandmother over the phone and she told me how “cool” it was to see young people at the pro-life march in D.C.  She has been watching footage of it on a Catholic network (EWTN).  My grandma used to be someone I could talk to about how much I hate conservatism and the Catholicism of my parents.  She is losing her memory, and her original personality is starting to fade.  My parents seem to be taking advantage of this by filling her head with this propaganda, knowing that she’ll accept whatever they tell her.  When I hear someone say how “cool” it is for young people to be involved with their church and with the “pro-life” movement, all I can think of is how disappointed my parents must be that I didn’t turn out to be a “Catholic youth.”  I just want to say FUCK YOU to all of that bullshit.
